How would you treat this baby?

My co-worker just got one! I don't think he has a clue on how to wash it. So he's a novice, what would you suggest. I told him the safest way to dry his car is by using a leaf blower. He looked at me :eek like I was crazy.

An air compressor would be safer unless it happens to be a filtered leaf blower. Dust particles at 150-200 MPH can be worse for your finish than a dirty towel.

Maserati Coupe.

I think you should show him the proper way to wash, dry and wax his new car. And tell him to buy some quality products (car wash soap, wax/sealant, brushes, applicators, tire dressing, interior dressing, etc) and MF towels.

Holy cow your co-worker just bought one . What do you for a living DJSWAY ?

If he can afford that ,he can afford to pay a detailer to take care of it .

You should detail it for him. Or detail it with him helping so he will learn how to do things the correct way.

I'm just a lowly telecom analyst, I think he's a manager programmer or something, he owns a Audi TT also. I don't know how he can afford one but his new car is sitting out there in the parking lot right now and I can't stop thinking about it!

Excellent advice.
This would of course require that he leave the car in your care periodically for upkeep. Preferably on week-ends. :)

If you are too busy, I could help a few week-ends.

I used this back in October. It works well enough:

The motor lifts off the canister to become a blower. It's bulky, yes, to hold the motor in your hands, but the rushing air balances the weight very nicely, making the motor seem weightless.

I love it. Now I can dry my car, even the windows, and then roll the windows down without streaking.

After washing and blow-drying, I'd wet clay, use a paint cleaner, then a paint protector/sealer. And, if your friend's car is the deep red as the pic you posted, I'd apply Souveran.
