How would you repair vinyl?

I am trying to up load an image of 4 small holes in a piece of vinyl to show what I am working with but I keep getting "upload of file failed".
Anyway the holes are about the size of the head of a pin and I would like to repair it so it is not so visible. The holes are in the side of the door.
 
I have some similar issues in the Dog-haulers. I`ll probably pay a Pro to do it (some day...), but maybe the Vinyl Repair Kits with the little "iron" to melt the, uhm.. "welding rod for vinyl"-stuff would be worth considering. IIRC Eastwood has `em and an internet search on their offerings will probably bring up others.
