How would I melt wax?

I recieved a tin of 50/50 from member mose, and it has about 1/4 left but it is in chunks. How would I go about melting it back down to pour it into the container without messing up the wax?

you can place your wax in a pot of warm/hot water..or place your tin in the oven on a cookie sheet and set the temp to 190o-200o..since you have small chunk you won't need that much heat..:secret be warned it dosn't smell to good..

Wax acutally doesn't take much heat to melt. A double boiler is probably the best way to go about it.

When I was in the Army, we used to light our Kiwi Black Wax with a lighter, let it melt some and then apply it to our boots. Much better shine this way. Boots looked like mirrors. Same principle when we waxed our floors. We took our Johnson Paste floor wax, lit it on fire, let it melt, blew it out and spread it on the floor, buffed it out and the floors looked like mirrors. Never tried it with car wax, but I bet it would work.
