How to use Swirl remover

Hey guys, I was reading an article on this site on how to use swirl/scratch remover products, and it said to apply by hand and to use straight, front to back strokes to apply and remove. Is this correct? Obviously this theory prevents the use of an orbital buffer, or rotary, and the product I am using, Meguires #9 swirl remover 2.0 says it can be used with orbital or rotary, so whats the real deal? I don't mind doing it by hand if thats the right way, any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Heff

Ya gotta use the proper technique with the tool you are using. All the techniques you described are correct for their particular use. Hand use is back and forth, machine use is per product instructions. The products work fine when used properly.

I dont think thats what he was asking ....

I think he wants to know if its ok to use the swirl remover with a PC.

I always use it with a PC, its alot faster and breaks the product down alot better.

A rotary will prolly be even better.

It can also be used by hand, but its alot of work.

Hmmm... he didn't say he wanted to use it by PC. Didn't even mention PC.

Sounds to me like an article he read says one thing and the instructions on the bottle say another. My point is that both techniques will work fine.
