How to remove this *ugly* touch-up paint?

Player Appreciate!
Family member just recently picked up an '01 Porsche Boxster... nice car, except for the touch-up job the previous owner tried to do when the garage door caught the rear bumper. Definitely looks worse than the damage, colours don't even match.

No idea how long the pain has been there...t ried giving it a go with the Langka, but barely removed any. Don't want to wet-sand... not comfortable with that. I've heard suggestions of lacquer thinner, but then read that it's a no-no... the lacquer thinner I have contains toluene, which is supposedly not good for clearcoats.

A repaint or fix on this spot is in the cards... but maybe a few months down the road. Just want to get rid of the offending spot and atleast cover it with the factory matched touchup I have.

Your opinions are welcome and appreciated!

Well, not to push you in the wetsand direction - but if you do end up deciding to repaint it you might want to try wetsanding first (since the worst you can do is mess up, then repaint anyway). You might find you have good luck with it.

Ditto or try the lacqer thinner.

Frequently touch up paint shaves off easily. It's hardly ever put on well, and seperates from the base without much incentive.

I have that on a few of my work-on-progress cars. I plan to use Langka on the crappy touchups before I resort to wetsanding, if only to see how well it works. I'd normally just get out the 3K unigrit, but I suspect the Langka "blob remover" will work fine. Haven't tried it though (the mechanics still haven't got the cars back to me  ).
