How To: Remove Bugs Safely

Good video! :)

One question - About how much of the bug squash did you use just doing that car? In other words, how long does a bottle of the stuff last?

Thanks!

Do not scrub hardened/dried excrement residue, birds use gravel to help digest their food so grit and sand are some of the major components, which can cause scratching as it is very abrasive and will scratch the paint surface.

Once it softened (re-liquefied) it enables their removal with less likelihood of damage to the paint surface Do not use on a hot paint surface (soon after driving) as this will cause streaking

Use a solution of Optimum no-rinse (ONR) diluted 1:20 / distilled water in a fine mist spray bottle) and allow to dwell time as this will soften debris and allow it to be removed with a mesh covered bug sponge

Shawn,

Good Video. What do you suggest for Tar? I do use bug squash for bugs and it works well. I chose the bug/MF instead of the sponge becasue my car is black and mars easily.

Thanks,

Jeff

I would have used the bug mesh mirco fiber and I've used both that bug pad and Unless you soak it in water for a good long time it's very hard

Out of the 32 oz bottle I maybe used 3oz, but this vehicle was covered. I was doing about 100mph the whole time on the highway. For light bug removal you will use less. I also waited till 11 the next day to clean the bugs off since i got home late the night before

Nice video but did you realize that you wrote "rinse it one finally time" @ 1:32 into the video?
No I didn't I proof read it like 5 times to I am going to have to change that thanks

Pinnacle has made the new bug brush much softer then the older ones, After one use it is pretty soft, if you dip it in water it will soften it up. I dont like the sponges that have the mesh on them because they scratch the paint really easily.

Try the Bug Squash on the tar, if the 3:1 mixture isnt cutting it try it at 2:1 or 1:1. Mineral Spirits works well on tar
