How to remove baked on brake dust ?

I tried Eagle 1 All Wheel and Tire Cleaner. Did not do a thing. Now what ? I really don't want to use the sandpaper yet. :confused:
 
Try Meguiar's Wheel Brightener & a good wheel brush it works miracles.
 
Get a acid-based wheel cleaner, make sure you dilute it to the directions on the bottle. Let it sit for like 1min, then rinse well. That's what we do to most of our used cars at work...



I wouldn't use it on any kind of expensive aluminum finish though, just to be safe...

I am in the same boat as you. I recently picked up a set of used OEM VW Passat wheels. Even though they look fantastic there are some places where there is baked on brake dust. I plan on showing my car at WaterFest so I need to do my best to get rid of it.
