how to match paint? new paint to old paint?

I have a custom neon to do tommorow, exterior buff only no wax. It was painted just recently, but the old paint doesnt quiet match since it is somewhat oxidized and just not buffed out. Would you guys just do a normal buff to the car to get all the panels to match up?

Yep!



Assuming that it is not an OLD car, and that the painter usd the the correct color, this should be quite straightforward. Rotary/Finishing pad/LOWest speed, and...



Mequiar's Speed Glaze was developed just for this situation... mild abrasive, with some protection, but still allows new paint to cure. Many other options, I'm sure.
