how to make a semi-glossy laptop lid shinier

I know this sounds a little off the wall but besides being a detail nut with my car I also like to keep my notebooks looking great. I just ordered an Alienware notebook and should be getting it next week. It's a sharp looking machine but the black lid is like a dull glossy look and I was wondering if any of you might have some suggestions on what product to use on it to bring a nice glossy finish on it; it's made of plastic.

megs plastic cleaner and polish then go over it with some wax , i do this for my black mirror covers for my truck and my cell phones.
