How to keep fingerprints off of bike

I have a 2003 TL1000R. It's all black and I want to keep it looking good, but no matter how much you try to be careful, it gets fingerprints on it. From myself getting on/off, getting in the trunk, or even from other people. It's really annoying, especially on the tank.

I've waxed it, although I've only used Mother's wax that came with the detail clay because that's what I had laying around and it wasn't enough to use on my car.

I've only had this bike since last fall and I haven't had this problem on other bikes because I've never had a black one before.

What can I do to keep it from getting so bad so quick?

Welcome to the world of black vehicles.

The only way to prevent it is to never touch it.

You have two choices, work to keep up with it or let is slide.

For some it's a point of pride. For others a private hell.

so I guess you don't own a black vehicle and have kids? :)

My favorite is trying to find out why I have a full on hand print on the middle top of the black Honda fit I drive?

Not a whole lot you can do about it.

To avoid / greatly minimise those oily/greasy-looking finger prints and marks:

Avoid using any kind of wax.

I detail lots of black/dark BMW bikes and I never use any waxes on these bikes.

Most waxes produces a very rich, thick, luxuriant, waxy feel. These are the oils.

Any contact with anything will leave behind marks.

My personal DIY/quickie method on bikes, especially those who're ridden often:

1. Clean with Klasse AIO.

2. Protect it with any premium quality sealant: Klasse SG, Jeff's Werkstadt, Zaino Z2Pro etc.

For optimum resistance to bug splatters and finger prints, I use 2 layers of REJEX.

My beemer-biker customers INSIST on Rejex, and leave it at my shop for a few days, enough to apply 3 layers.

When driving my black z06 and black ws6 I don't get all the hands all over the car. And no, I don't have kids, so that probably helps. I guess I'll just have to deal with it. Or quit giving people rides.
