How to get rid of yellow stain on wheel?

When I was washing the car today, I noticed a bird bomb had hit my wheel. Most of it came off OK, but it left a yellow stain behind.

I used regular wash soap to get most of it. Then, followed with P21s gel wheel cleaner, but that didn't budge it.

What do you guys suggest I do to get rid of this? If it makes a difference, it's a painted wheel. I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I would try some sort of polish, maybe Poorboy's PP. There are also a few Mother's polishes specifically for wheels.

Good luck.

lol.. u can barely notice that.. but like u, id be tryin everything to get it off if it were my car... guess u love your car huh?

Thanks, kartoon. I'll give them a try.

LOL! Yeah, I love the car, but it's much more noticeable in person. I had a hard time getting the camera to focus on the yellow stain, so it doesn't show up too well. It just looks gross. I don't want any yellow on my car. :D

Well, I've got some 3M SMR, I'll give that a try and see what happens. Wouldn't have thought of trying that, thanks turborave.

Clay, another weapon to try! Well, I'm going to try that first since it's non-abrasive. I'm going to go after this tomorrow with the clay, and if necessary the SMR, and will let you know how it works out.

Thanks again!

Just a quick update-

It turns out clay would've been very difficult to use in that corner, so I went straight for the 3M SMR. It worked! I was able to get just about all of the yellow off. There is a tiny bit left, but it is really not noticeable, so I'm pleased.

Thanks to you all for the suggestions, and turborave for pointing me in the direction of SMR!

:D glad it worked. when i used it on mine, i wrapped one of my fingers in a terry towel i didnt care about, put a dab of the SMR on the end of the terry covered digit, and rubbed it into the offending area. in my case it got the stain/spot out completely. I would throw a little wax on the spot too, if not the whole wheel to keep it from staining again.
