Is there any good detailing video or books out there which can teach you everything about detailing. I know blkyukon made some videos, but are there anymore. I don't care to buy video's or books either. If there good. I'll buy it.

There is a member on the forum who constructed a GREAT website with photos and everything. I'm sure he'll post in here... the link is in his signature.

Also, look on YouTube for polishing and wet sanding. There are a bunch of good videos on there. Meguiars has a whole series on there that is pretty good.

Personally, I am still a relative noob and this DVD, Buffing with Confidence from the Kleen Car guys in NJ was great. It shows you a lot of tips and tricks I have not seen anywhere else. It is kind of expensive, lists for $49.99 on their site. If you do a Google search on the title you will find it cheaper than that on other sites. Also, I thought of it as a cheap insurance policy against me screwing up my car's paint.

Yeah I already seen all the video's on video's on expertvillage, youtube, paintcare, and meguairs. But there didn't have all the information like on how to use extractor, steamers, rotary, spot cleaning, what is a full detail, information on dilutionand chemical,

kind of thing you would see in a class if you went to a detailing class. like the tricks and the trade's.

I know you said you don't want to buy, but Buffing With Confidence is a great DVD. Pricey, but it goes into depth of the layers of paint, proper technique of rotary, differences between the types of car care products (glazes, sealants, polishes, compounds), even how to clean your pads.

There is a set sold by Rightlook.com called " Detailing for Profit". Really good set. You can also get it at Detail in Progress.
