In the interest of keeping it simple.

Wash (2 Bucket Method w/grit guards)

Clay (you can find Clay Magic at Autozone - try cutting it into 4ths and diluting the spray that comes with it)

Wash (2BM)

Prewax Clean

Wax

You could get a PC7424 polisher (and the pads/polishes/backing plates that go with it), but you can also opt to hold off on polishing for now.

If you're really new to this and you don't want to put a lot of $$$ in this yet, just start off small and get familiar with the basics.

And of course, read a couple strings here in autopia every day.

wash, clay, compound, polish, sealant, wax...

thats the order you take when you want to perfect the finish.

if you have lots of paint defects, then you compound two times, polish until you have the desired look, then seal it up to lock in that look, then wax to add a little depth!!!!
