How to clean pads?

Hello all, I just wondering how you guys clean and store your pads? With my wool pads, I just use my spur, or a screwdriver if Im lazy. Occasionally I throw them in the wash with the detiling towels and let them air dry.

The foam pads Im not real sure how to clean though? Also Is storing in Ziplock bags (sealed) OK?

I let them soak in a bucket of Dawn and water. Then I rinse them out in the sink, wring them out as much as I can, and spin them on the rotary to sling out the water. Let them dry overnight and you're good to go.

I've got a few soaking in a bucket now. Come on down and I'll show ya how its done. :D

I usually just slit the top of the bag they come in and return them to it when they are done drying, if they are still damp they still can evaporate all the moisture through the opening.

So do you own one foam pad for every product you use them with? I have heard this is a best practice and try not to mix products on mine.

no I personally have 2 yellow, 2 white, 2 black LC pads. I clean them really well ans have not had a problem, others will disagree with me but everyone has an opinion and methods that work for them.

I do not mix products on dirty pads i.e. using dacp then #9 on the same pad.

I use someone else's tip of using a potato masher to squish the dirty water out of them. A little soak in dawn, a pummeling with the potato masher and they're good as new.
