How to clean LC foam pads? Help!

what is the recommended way to clean foam pads? I just used some dish soap in a bucket and now i cant seem to get the soap out of the pads. And the pads still look like they have product in them (the polish on the grey pad is still noticeable).



FYI.....I do not like the megs APC for the fact that it is so toxic so other recommendation welcome.
 
If they are really dirty I use Dawn. But I wash them by hand with warm water and thoroughly rinse them out. You cant just let them sit in a bucket. For lighter cleanings I have some DP pad rejuvenator mixed up in a spray bottle.
 
Sure do. It blasts all the crap out. I can always tell how well a pad is cleaned after I turn on the machine the very 1st time and dust flies out.

Grabed some of this at walmart and cleaned my pads with it holy crap is all I can say even my pads that were stained and not really one colors came out one color and stain and containment free after letting them soak for 15mins :woohoo:
 
Not so sure about the power washing. I'd be afraid of cutting into the foam. Does anyone use a similar chemical method to machine washing microfibers? I've heard vinegar is can help. Don't know if I'd throw pads in a washer though. :nervous:
 
I've had great luck with Dawn Power Dissolver as well. Spray a little on, massage it in to agitate the caked in polish/wax, and then rinse thoroughly, good as new.

walmart carries it and it's in the aisle where the dishwashing soaps are. just bought another bottle yesterday, and it was $2.72...

In Canada? I did actually go to Walmart and check for it but couldn't see it.

i would think that all walmarts would have pretty much the same majority of items (apparently not in Canada). in anycase, here's what it looks like...
