How to apply AIO? Foam or MF?

I'm going to be using AIO on my Eclipse this weekend (FINALLY!) and I am not sure what would be best for applying AIO by hand. I do not have a PC. I have both foam and MF applicators. What do you think/use and how has it worked for you?

I was going to use the Meg. Even coat MF applicators, but would like some opinions first.

I have a pc but I always find myself applying AIO with an MF applicator. I dont know if there would be a huge difference between the 2 apps to be honest.

I would go with a mf applicator rather than a foam pad for the AIO. Haven't tried the Megs apps you mentioned, but I believe these would work well too.

Definitely a MF app. They have more cleaning ability than foam and thats why you are using AIO in the first place. MF is also less likely to mar than terry apps.
 
I've had my best success with AIO applying it by hand and using a damp MF brick-style applicator.

I tried using a PC & a misted finishing pad and the AIO seemed to dry very quickly. I wasn't trying to work AIO but I just was not able to find the balance between spreading & reloading the pad ..... so I prefer the manual method.

IMHO, the manual method seems to keep more product on the surface of the MF applicator and the applicator does not absorb as much product.

I'll second that. I use the new Megs MF applicators all the time now for AIO, WG and Souveran. They work great! For applying AIO to an entire car though, I use a PC with a black LC pad set on 3.
 
Whenever I use a LSP with a MF applicator, I only see the need to mist it with water or QD when I'm using Klasse SG or when spit shining with Souveran. Other sealants, including AIO, seem to spread and bond fine without the need to have the applicator damp.
 
I usually use a misted MF applicator with AIO 'cause I followed the the directions.

"All-In-One can be applied with a terry face cloth but a microfiber applicator pad works better. Dampen the applicator pad with water and wring out excess. (Applicator should be damp, not wet) Add a small amount of All-In-One (about the size of a nickel) to the applicator pad and apply with large oval or back & forth motions.
Use some pressure but don’t dig in. This nickel size amount will easily cover half of the hood or top of a full size car or the entire hood of a compact car."

Not to hyjack the post.
Do you rotate the applicator at all when you apply AIO, placing a dime size product on different sections of the pad?
Seems when I use the manual method, I get alot of build up ( quarter size ) of the product and it because hard on the pad. Even using water or Eagle1 detailer for lube.

I haven't experienced the "build up" that you're referring to when using the MF applicator but I have seen that on a MF pad that I forgot to wash.

IMHO, misting a MF applicator will keep the product on the surface of the pad so it will not be absorbed into the pad. The misting also aids in product distribution & disbursal so I have not found it necessary to rotate the pad by placing nickel-size drops on different parts of the pad.
 
I prefer a slight mist. If your pad or applicator gets too damp, aio will be more difficult to remove.

:yeah I actually found a procedure posted by YoSteve. Dampened MF applicator (purchased from YoSteve). Two back-to-back applications before removal. No difficulty in removing the AIO.
 
The new Megs Even Coat MF applicators are great for AIO and all other LSP application :bigups
