How the hell do u apply meg's fd?..

I tried various techniques to apply meg's fd, but it always seems to streak. This past weekend I applied a light coat (thinking i was using to much), changed cloths frequently, but no luck. There seems to be an oil residue that i'm pushing around with my mf polishing cloths. What am i doing wrong? :nixweiss
 
Fd can be reactive with certain types of waxes....What are you using to wax/seal your car ?
 
I've never had Final Detail streak. I just do about 3/4 sprays for a hood and wipe off. I just use any standard MF. Like Patrick said, what do you have on your car right now?
 
Hmm interesting.....This summer I applied Mothers 3 phase system. The wax used on the last setp is a pure carnuba.
 
Make sure the car is completely dry(and i mean complete, not wet bc of moisture in the air), or you will have streaking problems. Also, mist it on the car lightly, and use 2 towels(one to wipe on, one to wipe off). Ive had this happen b4, and I qd about 25 min after i wash and dry my car(inside of course), and have never had the streaking problem again.
 
I had the same problem and even caking of the FD but it was more to do with the temperature outside .. it was 40 F or so .. when I used it at 50 + it was ok
