There is no cure!
i have a customer who's car i detailed a month ago. i gave the wheels 3 coats of sg (24hours cure) and i wants me to come by and wash and put a coat of wax on top. i passed by today and his car is filthy! the wheels look almost black, and the tires look all gunked up (he has a BMW 645 so it explains the brake dust). i know the sg should be holding up which makes cleaing them with regular water and soap cool, but what bout the tires. how would i go around cleaning themw ithout striping the sg. i want to add an extra coat to them but dont wanna remove what i have left.

Usually car wash soap scrubbed with a tire brush works out well. Also, Poorboy's BnB (my go to tire dressing) has light cleaners in it which will help as well.

A light dilution of APC may work as well.

Pinnacle or Four Star wheel cleaner gel.....clings to the surface and doesn't get on my wheels at all. I spray all the tires (after rinsing), agitate with a stiff brush, then hose off.
