How often do you use your PC in a year?

I try not to use it too often as I've found the clearcoat on both of the cars I maintain to be soft and very thin. Given that, I bust it out every few months or so for polishing, but I often use it to remove wax with the help of a MF bonnet.

Oh, and if you're in the process of doing a lot of woodwork, don't forget that it's also an excellent sander. No more cramped fingers from holding onto a block wrapped in sandpaper for hours on end.

I use it all the time, whenever i have a product that i can apply with it such as klasse or if i choose aliquid wax i use the pc. I find im pulling it out once a weak atleast for personal cars as well as clients. It can be used for more then just power polishing. I would say definlty worth the money

Ive been using mine about 3-4 times a month, but most of my work has been for other cars besides my own. Ive only used my PC about 3 times on my car since august, the first two time for learning and getting a feel for my products, and the third being for getting the finish as perfect as possible.

In the winter months I don't see myself using it near that much, if at all.

I wouldn't justify a PC with how much you are going to use it, I would justify the price by its ability to take your paint finish to new level. Having to use the PC all the time would mean that something in your detailing process is lacking (i.e. incorrect washing\drying) and is not a good scale to justify the purchase. I would also look at it in terms of the fact that any car you own in the future the PC can be used on also.

I use mine about 3 times a week :) :getdown

After seeing what people do with a rotary in detail shops, I consider it safe to say that a PC will never remove too much clearcoat :) I could polish my car every day for 5 years and I doubt there would be any detrimental effects.... It's merely massaging the paint, who doesn't want a good massage every once in a while? ;)

I am buying a PC for Christmas and I am trying to justify the cost. How often do you actually use the PC in one year?

trust me, when you use it a few times it already paid for itself and your arms/hands will thank you later. not to mention, you will achieve far superior results than you would by hand...

I agree about saving your hands. I used mine after polishing to apply the sealant and then did the wax by hand. Man, it made my hand/wrist sore applying all that wax, but using the PC to apply the sealant was very easy and didn't make me sore.
