I am getting a ford expedition ready for a big car show in a couple weeks, i am unbias to any products so your imput is appreciated. It is a darker green color with some pretty decent scratches on it. It also has big chrome rims ( they dont look to hard to get in and clean around) He wants it perfect or as close to perfect as it can be, would you all please suggest what products to use and how much i should charge? Btw I will not be doing the inside of the suv. I am using an ultimate detailing machine buffer but where i go from there will be based on you all opinions and suggestions Thanks in advance

charge a flat rate when shooting for perfection...expedition will have paint softness of about 4-5 on a 10 scale IME. I would use something like meguiars or menzerna lineups, a few orange pads, then a white pad, then a blue pad (lake country pads)

megs 83/menzerna IP/optimum compound - orange

megs 80/menzerna Fpii/optimum polish - white/blue

but then again, without seeing it, its hard to tell...LOL, but that is where I would start

agreed....without seeing it, its hard to price or say what we all would do...but i'll give my 2 cents :)

Depending on how bad it looks then I'd make sure I had a heavy polish/compound available (may not need it, but better to have and not need than to need and not have!) I'd have M95 as a backup incase I needed a heavy polish.

5.5" Orange pad - M83 / IP

5.5" white Pad - M80 / FPII / OP

6.5" Blue Pad - UPPP (Ultima Paint Prep Plus), really is good with a blue pad for a little something extra :)

I'd seal it with UPGP
