How much product is left on the paint after buffing the haze off ?

Does anyone know how much of what we put on the paint reamins there? I have heard it said that we wipe off much more of a given product than is left on the paint. How thick is SG or Z2pro when we buff it off?

You wipe off most of what you applied. That's why it's sometimes essential to apply some products so thin. It can be a waste of money to glob it all on.
 
Yeah, for practical purposes it goes on immeasurably thin. Consider that when I apply SG it's too thin to be readily seen on the panels (before I buff it off), yet it lasts just as long as with a "thicker" application. IIRC, attempts by people like Mike Phillips to measure "film build" with various products have been unsuccessful, it's just too thin a coating/layer for them to measure with the equipment they have.
