How much business comes from your website?

I do not have a website right now and I'm thinking about getting one online next week. I would like to know how much (%) business comes from your website, alone, as a marketing tool. Do people do web searches and find your website, then call you or email you for a price? Do they actually schedule in their car or is this just a magnet for price shoppers?

word of mouth is still going to be best, but having the site for more information and to back up the "suggestion" of your client to the new one will help

with prices listed, you will probably get less price shoppers since they can see it before calling

get one!

This is completely depend on geographic location, and type of market, how many other shops there are, etc.

I have a web page, none of my competitors do. I constantly get hits on it, so it's a good tool I think. For me though, it's more of a separator, something that gives me an edge compared to everyone else.

In this day and age, I don't think one can go without a web site going forward.

I have to agree with toyotaguy, I have the website up so people do not bother me for pricing! This leads to either:

a) Those prices are too high.

b) Sign me up for this date.

Usually, people call to schedule - and do not waste my time.

I ask everyone that calls how they heard about us. I don't know the exact percentage, but the vast majority say "Internet search", having a web presence is a must!
