How many waxes or sealants in past 3 months?

For some of us durability is overrated! Applying the products and seeing how they make our car look relative to other products we've tried is most of the fun.

Because of this, I haven't really had a chance to test the durability of products 'cause I keep trying new ones. In the past 3 months I've put on one or more applications of FMJ, opti-seal, AW, and P21S carnauba (4 products) on the same vehicle.

I'll bet some of you have done a lot more! I'd like to hear how many! This should be a list for just one car (don't list all your sealants if you detail for a living!).

You need to ask Kleraudio, because i think he has every know product to man on his truck!:chuckle:

I hear ya man. One day I hit my truck with #7 show car glaze, and M21. Its my go to it looked good. Then a week later I threw on some natty's paste! and WOW pop wet white paint...(tho it is a pain to take that stuff off unless you get it on super thin, which im not quite great at yet). And well once again. I busted out my new bottle of M26, same if not better results as the natty's..

All topped off with meg's UQD of course..

I have a tin of M16 I have yet to touch because I sorta prize it.

haha.

I have XMT glaze, Souveran, CG pro detailer w/ carnauba, souveran spray wax, old crystal mist, #26, Opti-seal.

I think I am going to keep layering various carnaubas and see how it looks.

My two cars have 1 coat of 476s and about 2-3 coats of S100. The S100 is so easy to use, it's no big deal to apply it every 3-6 weeks.

I am not one for applying products all the time, as I like to get a feel for product durability on the vehicle. FK# 2180 after Menzerna prep about 3 months ago, topped with Opti-Seal on May 20th. Car still looks great, beads well, and it's outside 24/7.

I'm with you. I don't really care about durability as much as I do about looks. I'm never going to wait the 3 months, or even 6 weeks, for a product to wear off. I change them up all the time. I'm going to give my silver Pilot a coat of Zymol Vintage here in a couple weeks just to see if I still dislike the stuff as much as I used to. lol Maybe I'll do a patchwork of waxes and compare them again. I just put Souveran on my silver Reflex and it looked pretty sharp. I'm getting bored with the look already though and want to experiment with something new...

You need to buy more cars then you will have more test beds for products.

I have opti-Seal / CS on my Mini Cooper

I have opti-Seal on my Avaitor

I have PS on my 39 Ford

I have Victoria Wax on my 35 Ford

I have PB EX-P and Auca Wax on my 58 Vette

I have Zaino on my 65 Corvette.

Next week who knows.:waxing:
