How many times polishing with Merenza IP is too much?

Well ive used it on my car with a PC about 3 or 4 times on an sfx-1 pad over the course of 2 or so years, but i still have swirls/paint blemishes so i was going to try it again later on this week. Am i risking clearcoat damage by any chance, or is it hard to do that with a PC? I planned on following it with Z-PC to fix any marring it may make.



Also, i should use the IP with a Orange pad and the Z-PC with a white pad right? Or are there any other recommendations? Id be using Lake Countrys CCS pads btw...



Also, should i use the Z-AIO before application of Z-2/Z-5? Or is it not needed? And if i should, what pad to use that on?

You can use IP with a PC as many times as you like. The PC and IP are so gentle, you'll never remove a measurable amount of clear.



You might want to consider a finishing polish to use after the IP. Like Final Polish, FPII, or Menz PO106FF (my favorite, and very good with a PC). Z-PC is ok, but PO106FF is better.



Zaino recommends (for best results) either using ZFX with Z2/Z5, or a base of ZAIO. I really like ZAIO when applied by PC. It helps to remove any leftover polishing oils, puts a nice shine on the paint, and leaves a nice base coat for Z2/Z5.
