Just like the title says. So how many times do you clay your car in a year? How many times should it be clayed? Whats a safe number? :)

I've been using mothers clay bar and have clayed my car 3-4 times a year. I just clayed my car a month ago but might do it again because I want to use a sealent. What do you guys think?

Usually twice a year at my major polishing sessions.

I will spot clay at times though during a wash if I see something that needs to be taken care of.

i like to clay every time I re apply my zaino which for me is every three months. I use my truck for alot of highway miles and work so it actually needs to be done but if it's not used that much I would say twice a year.

I'm on about the same rotation.

I spot clay with Sonus green as needed at every wash. Before that clay came out I did it with stuff virtually identical to the Mother's. Only difference was that with the harsher clay I had to be more careful lest I cut through my LSP.

Clay gently and you can do it as much as you want/need to. It should take a bit of deliberate effort to cut through your LSP, so claying so aggressively that you effect your paint is, *to me*, claying incorrectly.

Every wash or 2 I check.

Wash, leave wet, spray some more water on some H&V panels, run a couple of fingers over the panel checking for roughness. If it needs it, clay now or save it for the next wash.

Otherwise, schedule claying whenever you do your polishing/lsp routine.
