How many mf towels

Do you use on an average detail. These were the ones used for the jeep and MdX details.

I never really thought about it until today when I decided to do some laundry.

As many as is needed. Depends on how much work is done. I have enough that I kind of treat them as expendable and grab a new one before the one I'm using becomes an issue

Depends on the vehicle, but I have enough that I won't hesitate to grab a clean one. I'd say the average car I use at least 20-30.

Ok I don't feel so bad. That about where I am plus or minus a few.

I never did laundry after just one or two cars before. I was shocked at how many were used

Including the wash? I'm probably around the 30 mark not including interior. Depending how dirty on the interior could be around 5-10 more.

I will take a pic, I run through about 30 - 50 depending on jambs, engine an polish, esp if it's a two step. My whole collection, probably around 120-150. I have gone through 80-100 in a single job, I'm not a fan of reusing just because I always like working with fresh towels, especially concerned with cross contamination and wiping a compound into a final polish wipe down.

I guess I'm a bit minimalist by comparison to the posts above.

I regularly use:
1-2 White large WW towels to dry (own 5)
1-2 Orange regular sized cheep/retired microfibers to dry the wheels (own ~10)
1-2 Blue regular sized cheep/retired microfibers for in interior (own ~20)
1-2 Yellow regular sized cheep/retired microfibers for door jambs and floor mats (own ~10)
1-2 Neon Yellow regular sized cheep/retired for the engine bay (own ~10)
1-2 Light blue glass cleaning microfiber towels (own 4)
2 Chinchilla microfiber wash mitts (own 8 assorted colors)
4-8 Blond borderless microfibers for final compound and polish wipe downs
4-8 Orange eagle edgeless (LSP removal)
12 White borderless microfiber towels (waterless wash, only tried it once these were originally my drying towels)

As I always transport all my supplies to a friends house I normally pack:
2 WW towels
2 Glass microfiber towels
10 Cheap/retired microfibers (two of each color)
3 Eagle edgeless
2 Wash mitts
