How many MF for 1 detail job

If doing wash, multiple polishing steps, LSP and QD, then up to 10 on the exterior, including glass and wheels.

Interior takes about 3 or 4.

i depends on the number of steps i take on the paint. a polish, cleaner, and wax will take 4-7 but if multiple polishing steps, glazing, sealing, etc are included, there will be more. 1-2 for the interior if its in good shape, more if its not.

1-2 WW's for drying, 3-4 for exterior (5-7 if with polishing), 1-3 for wheels/tires, 4 on glass (2 exterior and 2 interior), and 2-5 on interior. So all in all, about 11-21.

about 2-3 ww for drying and anywhere from 7-10 regular

mf's: depending on whether or not I have to do any claying,

polishing. Included in that are at least 2 for wax removal, and

a few more for stuff happens (towels falling to the ground,

picking up grease on the towel, etc.)

I use 1 MF for the whole car.

for the final wipe. But seriously, I use anywhere from 6 to 8 MF towels all depending what I am doing.

You can't have enough MF towels. :D

Jeez...maybe i'm doing soemthing terribly wrong then. I use one MF for each step i do.

Are you guys using MF for application of product?

A dozen, maybe a couple more, maybe a couple less. Whenever one loads up I grab another. Obviously if I drop one it gets tossed. It's not a point worth skimping or stretching on.

Wow, I gues I use less than the rest

Drying: 2, no matter if the car is soaking wet or if it is 85% dry after slow rinse or water blade

Polish: 4 - 6, depending on product and car

Wax: 2 only

Door jambs: 2 or 3

Wheels: 1 or 2

Spray wax: 2

Quick detailing: 2

Engine: 2 only to clean, 1 to dress (I take out the nastiest stuff first with those paper "shop towels")

Waterless wash: 2 or 3

Interior: 2 to clean, 2 to dress.

Glass: 2

My average session is only 6 towels: 2 to dry, 2 for the spray wax or quick detailer, and 2 for glass. Interior is done every 2 weeks. If in a hurry, just dry the car.
