How many hours life for your halogen bulbs?

Quick question I've been getting only about 16hrs life from my 1000w(2 500w) lights. Didnt know what others were getting. I try to be carefull moving, bumping etc. They are nice to have for sides and down low when working inside. I'm just killing bulbs. I use gloves when I install them also.

I found 3 packs at Batteries Plus(heavy duty) for 8 dollars. Lowes were 6 something ea.(heavy duty) and thats what I've been using.

Anyone having better luck? Getting tired of running out for bulbs. :wall

hose Ive bought in last 2 years less than 1 hour or didnt work mat all. one I got from harbor Freight 20 years ago or more, has not given any problem. That one gets knocked down and hauled in back of pickup often cuz it still works. That one is a 500 watt bulb and recpeticle I on a home made pip[e stand. nothing like those made now.

I've had brand new bulbs blow within 15 minutes. Its to the point I don't even use them because bulbs are so expensive and only lasts a few days. I started using a swirl finder from AG when looking over the vehical and ill be damned if the bottom light didn't burn out on it too.

I bought a dual-halogen stand from Wal-Mart as well as a single portable, and I am still using the bulbs that came in them.

Picked these Utilitech with stand at Lowes. Fully adjustable including height. Just need bulbs to last.

I bought some replacement bulbs from Harbor Freight and they lasted about .01MS
after I changed a couple of them I threw what was left in the trash.
GE is not much better they last about 10-15 hours.

I don't really remember where I bought my duel stand at but it was better then 5 years ago and I'm still on the bulbs that came with it. I know I got it from walmart lowes or homedepot.

I have a dual 500W and a single 500W Husky setup. Two years, couple hours per week, original bulbs.

Previously, I had the green ones (forget the brand name) and I was blowing the bulbs every second or third use.

My lights are set up in my garage. I do not take them mobile. I think any brand of bulbs are extremely fragile.

My bulbs seem to last longer if I run the ceiling fan.
That leads me to believe that heat is the problem with short bulb life.
