How long for 4 door compact?

I am thinking about buying a flex 3401 or maybe just a PCXP dual action and wanted to know how long the average car would take with both machines?

Lets say all things being equal, the car is a 2007 Nissan Maxima. The car is garaged, and has been waxed every 4 months (Zaino). The color of Blue. Not many deep scratches but it is pretty swirled from gas station car washes.

I was thinking Menzerna SIP followed up with Nano and top coat with 2 coats of Zaino Z2 or Blackfire wet diamond.

So how long would this process take with a PCXP and how long with a Flex? I am just looking for a ballpark to see just how much time I would be looking at.

That's entirely subjective. It can depend on how long it takes YOU to work, how "polishable" the paint is, how deep the defects are, whether or not it needs claying....etc you get my point.

If you just want a direct comparison between the 7424 and the Flex, check out this video.

Keep in mind that was done with an original 7424, so the XP will work a little bit faster.

It took me 4 hours to polish out a black Jetta using Meg's D151 and a wool pad on a rotary, followed by D151 on a PC7424.

I'd say at least 4hrs for you. Of course, don't forget to clay first!

Thanks for the info. It would really take 4-hours to polish and wax? I was thinking maybe an hour and a half to do the SIP and Nano Steps.

I know they say to work in a 2x2 foot area. On average, how long should I work it on that 2x2 foot area?

I am just looking for the average time it would take to polish my car.

I am also interested in how much quicker I could polish the same car with a flex 3401?

It takes me anywhere from 6-8 hours to do a full wash, clay, 2 step polish, seal, depending on the vehicle I'm working with. I would estimate around a 30 minute savings from using the Flex, but I could be wrong.

That includes masking trim, sealing the wheels and door jambs, dressing trim, tires, etc.
