How long do your backing plates last?

As the title states, about how long do you get out of your backing plates? I think mine is pretty much shot, it does not grip very well at all any more, even to brand new pads

Ive done about 80 cars with mine and it still sticks like new(about a year). how long have you had yours?

I actually am on my 3rd backing plate and this time around on my PC I went with a 5inch backing pad and I have the 6in counter weight and it brought the slight vibration that had to a stop. Each plate lasted about 1.5 years. In other words a crap load of details

Yeah I have the same setup as your new one. maybe it will last longer like that with less vibration?

I'm using a 5" plate with a 6 ounce CW and 6 1/2" pads. My plate is almost 2 years old.

3yrs, still using the original I started with.......

I purchased some pads that went south fast. I purchased some LC pads 7.5 pads with a 6 backing place w/counter weight and the BP lasted a very very short time. I need to get it replaced soon.
