I had a scratch that i got rid of with ssr2.5. but what I did was rub the scratch with a cotton t-shirt (so I could just work on that ONE spot). i then went over the scratch with my pc and orange LC pad with some ssr2.5 followed with a white LC pad with ssr1. Then sealed. Problem now is I got rid of the scratch, but where i was rubbing with my finger i can still see marring left by the ssr2.5. i was just wondering if I'm working on the problem area long enough with my pc. I spent like 5 min with each pad cause I'm afraid of abrading away too much at the clear coat. I was wondering how long do you usually spend on a problem area like this??

I guess the real question is how much/long can i use my PC without it making permanent damage to my clear coat??

It's hard to predict what somebody can/can't do...but if I had to guess I'd say you can work the area until you get the 2.5/t-shirt marring out.

Next time don't use a t-shirt, that's *way* too harsh for my taste, and I'm imagining the softest 100% cotton t-shirt I've ever seen. No way would I ever touch my paint with that, I used a *very* soft t-shirt on the trunklid of my S8 once so I could close it without putting a fingerprint on the paint- the result was very light marring from where the shirt touched it (had to repolish even though nobody else would've seen it :( ).
