i used 50/50 distilled vinegar/water to remove some water spots from my car

i put it in a spray bottle.. sprayed it on and let sit about 5 minutes while working it with a mf applicator.. washed and rinsed again..

spots gone..

but im wondering how bad is vinegar for paint?

did my quick wash and rinse remove all of it??

how stubborn is vinegar?

thanks

I had waterspots on my truck from the last couple weeks of rain. Couldn't get them off with a QD'er. So right before I washed, I put some viniegar in a spray bottle and lightly sprayed all over the truck. Wash, and worked like a charm. And didn't seem to hurt my Natty's Blue as it still looks and beads like the day I did it.

The vinegar merely dissolves and breaks up the minerals from a water spot. It is nowhere near potent enough to harm paint. Of course, any time I've used it, I always follow with a wash, QD, or wax, depending on what I was doing at the time.
