i know this might be a stupid question but how do you prime a pad. i washed my car and dried it. i want to use poorboys PwS with my porter cable but it says to prime a dry pad first. do i soak the pad or do i put an X on the pad? how do you guys prime a pad? then after i put the PwS on i want to top it off with PBs red paste wax. it should make my black car look nice. thanks

Applying product to the pad, and getting it "into" the pad is my idea of priming the pad. I use a good bit more on that first application than I will at any other time. I generally prime my pad by applying an X or a circle or dots, and then hand spreading that onto the vehicle.

Lonewolf there are some vids on our vendor forum autogeek and you tube has some good ones also if you look up pc 7324.

Ditto, I just put more on the pad for the 1st run then work it in real good then your pretty much ready to go.

I put a generous ring of the product around the pad and than work it in with my hand edge to edge.....than put my normal ring around the pad and go to town :bigups

Before I put a ring of polish on the pad I put a mist of QD on the pad this will help keep it from bitting so hard before the polish get spread around the pad.
Use very little because it will keep the polish from working as well at first but it will soon began removing the swirls.
You can also use distilled water.
