<strong class='bbc'>I use chamois to dry my car, and I'm just curious......
If you got dirt or stain on the chamois, how do you clean it after?
thx for replying:) [/b]</blockquote>
Most autopians don't use chamois because it can remove the wax. Try an Absorber, Water Bandit, Charisma towel or large Microfiber towel for drying. All of these items can be hand washed and air dried. You shouldn't be getting much dirt on them- if you do, you didn't wash your vehicle very well. Unless you have a leaf blower available, those are the choices.:up

I use a synthetic chamois and I just put it in the washing machine with some soap. Comes out clean and does not hurt the chamois.

Totally agree with the previous threads. Try not to use genuine chamois and wash your drying towel of choice in the washer with just a bit of liquid soap. Laters

Most recommend washing a chamois with a mild shampoo. I concur with Don and the other posters, above, I would recommend another approach to drying. I love the blower. Its quick and kind to the paint.

Just don't post about clouds again:biggrin:

Theres still 3.5 hours in which to do so for any brave enough :Dancing Dot:

I did get see word in that post that clouds under certain conditions would be acceptable... Time will tell if I am able to muster the courage

Should the door jam hinges be greasy? I never liked doing that area cause of the grease. Or should I clean the grease off so it's nice and clean? Dothe jams really need to be greased? I don't think new cars are greased.

Yes firebird older vehicles can get dried out and need grease but not gobs and gobs of it  like you will often see .I always clean those nasty door jams up . It makes the car look like new again!

So maybe if they haven't ever really been cleaned, wonder if it would be a good idea to "de-grease" the hinges, clean and "re-grease" the hinges? I guess I'm not asking how to clean them or what to use...was asking if grease should be removed. My '69 Firebird I think I will keep the grease added but just clean the newer vehicles and leave the grease off. Thx DC!
