how do you buff cf?

my friend recently got some cf interior pieces for his 00 mroadster. they arent cf overlay, they are the real deal.



the cf, im guessing the clearcoat is faded, has a yellow color to it. i was wondering what would be the best way to buff it out?



i was thinking of maybe trying to wetsand it down, then rubbing compound, polish, wax?



any advice? thanks
