How do I deal with black metal bumpers and trim on a BMW X3? Can I wax them? The surface is not smooth like paint, not real rough, but not smooth.
How do I handle this?

I wax/polish mine, you should be fine. I would stay away from the trim though if your not sure

~One man’s opinion / observations ~
Apply Scotchguard 3M masking tape to the trim and wax the metal, remove the tape and use Autoglym Bumper dressing on the trim (if you get any wax on the trim it can be removed with Groit’s Wax Remover)
