Hi. So this is my first post at autopia. Before I ask about how to get some crap off of my car, I decided to buy some stuff to keep my car clean after reading everything on Autopia. Do I need anything else, and most of all, is all this money worth it?

Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel

Sonus Washing Mitt

Sonus Perfect Shine Kit

NXT Glass Cleaner

Plexus Plastic Cleaner

Don't need shampoo, cause I have GC shampoo. All this comes out to 180 dollars, so...is it really worth the money? Anyways, onto my second question.

So basically, when I got my car, there were these stickers on the side that ran all the way across the car. Never wanted it, but thats how I got it. Well eventually, the sticker started coming off, so I just pulled it off, but it left this crap on it.

Yes, the car is very dirty, its the way I got it back when I got back from college. So can anyone help me as to how to get it off?

One last question. My mom, who drives a maxima, hit a wall or something, and from what it looks like, I think some paint rubbed off onto the car. Anyone know how to get it off?

Sorry, I'm new to all this, so I don't know all the abbreviations that everyone uses. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The "sticker" is the pinstriping that was on the car.

3M adhesive remover should remove that residue.

Your Mom's Maxima.. .

If it is paint transfer, it should buff off, but be careful as you are near an edge and the paint is thinner there.

De-Solv-It (citrus-based) should remove the sticker adhesive.

First I'd try detailing clay on the paint transfer, but you might need some light rubbing compound followed by polish, then wax.

Yeah, 3M Adhesive Remover is great stuff to have on hand and you can often remove paint transfers with just clay.

Your product list is fine but I dunno if you really need the Plexus. Mitts can often be found locally and you oughta have a few of them.

Oh, and Welcome To Autopia!
