How come every nsx i have ever seen has had horrible swirls?

Does anyone know why every nsx before 2000 or 2001 is heavily swirled. I am supposed to detail a ganardi nsx tommarow that is very badly swirled especially for a red car.
 
Maybe because people, lots of them, are misinformed about how to care for your car. And they probably used bath towels to dry their cars.



I had an Ex that used to use Hair Shampoo on her car instead of soap! idoits!
 
Hair shampoo ain't all that bad. Johnson and Johnson pink/orangy regular works well. Not really good ona dirty car, but decent on a well maintained finish, or when you just want to mess around and "pamper" you're baby.



A regular car wash is better though :) better lubricity.



I see a lot of cars out there that are swirled. Just ignorant people I guess. Autopians and people who care for their cars are few and far between.



Plus, you haven't seen my 1995 red swirl free NSX, LOL j/k, got a road test to take in 2 and 1/2 weeks!
 
Could be the dealer prep on the car.



My '03 Lexus SC430 in Red has swirls when I took delivery. I asked to have them removed, but that just made things worse!!



Some dealer use people that have those 10lb orbital buffers with the terry bonnets. Now you're talking swirls galore!

I have work in quite a few dealerships and none of them use buffers on new cars that are being delivered except when there are scratches in them. And when there are scratches they just buff that area. Used cars on the other hand almost always are buffed.
 
If you have ever noticed NSX paint also has very little oange peel. I assume this is done at the factory. Nonetheless thier paint is very smooth almost as if it were wet sanded. I have noticed this on every one I've ever seen. Less orange peel = it show more swirls.



Anyone agree?

I think you mean "Zarnadi" NSX...be careful with that one, there were only 50 built!



IMHO swirls on a car the caliber of the NSX is just sickening! If I had one, oh man would it be perfect! :cool:
 
Yea, i own an nsx too... i have pretty bad swirls on mine, hoping to do a major detail job as soon as the some of the new paint on my car cures. Just hope DACP will do the trick..
 
doh! Man I seriously hope this isn't true.... guy just called lastnight and is bringing his black nsx over this afternoon for a detail. There is a big show tomorrow he is entering it in... really short notice. I have important stuff all day so can't start it before 5. If it has bad swirls it could be a late night...

what'd you use? I got one in the garage i'm doing right now. Little bit of swirls, not as bad as that pic though. Waiting on the first coat of zaino to dry right now.
