How about a Z5 type product to use with UPP?

I've got the itch to try some new products, so I'm going to give UPP a try on one of my cars. I am going to polish with Optimum, prep with AIO, then seal probably two or three times with UPP, possibly adding a layer of carnauba down the road.

My question is this. I always, no matter how careful I am, get some washing/drying induced marring. With the Zaino I have been using, a few applications of Z5 cleans this up a bit. What product would I use to get this effect with UPP, or any other pure sealant for that matter, so that I don't have to go back with an abrasive polish and start over?

I was thinking maybe RMG? Would that work well over UPP? I don't have a problem re-applying a couple layers of UPP if there is a product I can use to clean up some spiderwebbing. It would have to be used directly over the UPP, unless I am forgetting any another possibilities.

maybe VM could be used instead? Ive seen a few people use a vm, rmg, upp combo. infact theres a red audi in the click and brag section that uses that combo topped with natty's blue and it looks absoluetely dripping wet.

There's even more chance that VM will remove the UPP.

Just wash more carefully. :nixweiss

Once most sealants cure, you shouldn't get any marring if you use quality wash pads and towels.

Looks like that's the way I'm gonna have to go. I prefer being lazy though :woot:

Yeah, only car I use UPP on is the S8, and the regulars here know how I wash *that* thing :o

I've found KSG to be *slightly* resistant to wash-induced marring. You still have to be careful, but it seems to help a little. I've heard that people layer UPP over KSG, so maybe that would be worth considering.

Other than that- get a foamgun ;)
