Hey everyone, this is my first write-up so let me know what you think.
Wash:
Meguiars Gold Class
2BM
Microfiber mitt
Uber red WW drying towel.
Clay:
Riccardo
Adam's Quick Detailer
Uber red towels
Paint:
Makita 9227C/3M Perfect-It backing plate
Meguiars Burgundy Soft Buff/ SIP
Uber Blue Polishing Pad/3M Ultrafina
CG's Monster towels
LSP:
Bilt-Hamber Auto Balm
Uber Red notched applicator
Uber No Name Super Plush towel
Misc:
303 Aerospace
Various Brushes and MF towels
P21S wheel Gel
Meguiars Wheel Brightener
Folex
Meguiars Hyper Dressing
Meguiars APC +
Stoner's More Shine Tire Shine
So onto the pictures. This Range Rover was beat up, water spots, swirls, tons of RIDS, you name it. Let's start with rims. The rims were relatively clean, but there was some built-up brake dust that I didn't have time to fully remove, although it looks much better.
P21S, left to dwell for 45 seconds, agitated, inner barrels cleaned and rinsed:
Uber Spoke brush in action:
Quick interior and engine, not much pics but interior and engine were cleaned with Meguiars APC+ at heavy(Engine) and Light(Interior) followed by 303. Leather seats were cleaned and conditioned with Leather Masters, carpets were cleaned with Folex.
Dirty carpet trim, cleaned with APC +
And now the fun part, paint! Just look at the condition... it was even worse in person.
Before:
50/50 after one pass with SIP:
Some bad defects, before and after:
Was about where the tree is, this is only after SIP x2 for the area.
Damn! Also is a good picture of how bad the swirls are in the camera flash
After SIP, some hazing is visible, was later cleaned up by 3M Ultrafina. This was about as far as I could safely remove the defect:
Scratches on the bumper right below the trunk:
Better!
Ok LSP of choice was Bilt-Hamber AutoBalm, This stuff is amazing, It added a good amount of depth and gloss and was far more impressive in person than in pictures. I love this wax/sealent, perfect amount of bright vs. dark with very nice reflections.
Believe it or not, this is a reflection. I was so happy about this:
Thanks for looking! This is my first write-up so if you guys have any advice on the write-up or picture taking, let me know! Thanks for reading :mounty:
