Hood repainted, 80, 82 or something else?

I just had some rock chips repaired on my F-150 hood. The paint shop clear-coated the entire hood after correcting the color in the chipped spots.

I asked the shop about waiting before waxing and they said "we bake the paint at 150 degrees, so it is fully cured and you don't have to wait to wax". I want to be on the safe side, and maybe wait at least 30 days to apply any true sealant or wax and allow the paint to fully cure.

In the meantime, what should I apply to protect the new paint while still allowing it to fully cure properly?

I own Megs #80 Speed Glaze and #82 Swirl Free Polish, #9 Swirl Remover, as well as a bunch of other stuff.

What would y'all recommend to treat the fresh paint?

Thanks.

If you've got any AIO or Zaino you can use them. I have had no problems in the past using them on fresh paint. They are just as body shop safe as #80 or #82.

I use one of the Meg's "pure polishes" (#3/#5/#7/#81), preferably the #5. 3M IHG is another popular option.

I wouldn't use anything with abrasives (even mild ones like in the Meg's products you mentioned) unless you really need to do some correction. If you *do* need to fix something, those would all be good choices and I'd probably use the #80.
