hood hazing problems

I can't seem to get rid of this hazing that constantly shows up on my hood.

For some reason, its extremely hard to get my hood crystal clear. It doesn't matter what product I use, I ALWAYS get haze on my hood. 105, EX-P,#7,#3,RMG,S100, etc...each of these have had this problem. But nowhere else on the car.

Any ideas?

I'd try applying thinner layers of whichever wax you use.

Can you describe how thick you apply the wax? How much product per an area of a panel? How clearly you see the haze of wax when you are applying?

Sometimes I get a haze after I detail and drive around, the heat would cause product haze. But only with certain LSP's. On other cars the LSP is fine on the hood. I attribute it to interaction with other toppers I had on the car.

Mikebai, I will try to apply thinner layers. I can tell you that the amount used is pretty uniform over the whole car, and Im just getting this haze on the hood. I can't really say how much per panel, but Ive used EX-P 4 times now on my DD, and Id guess about 3 ounces gone. Too much?

JDookie...Ill get pictures as soon as I can, but you only see it in the sun, and we haven't had any in about a week. :)

BPFoley...interesting thoughts. Possible the heat from the engine might alter the product a little?

Wannafbody...Im going to prep for winter with ZAIO as soon as it arrives in the mail. We'll see if I still get the hazing after that.

Thanks guys!
