Im pretty familar with cars but my new crv has this plastic protector? that sets on top of the radiator. does anyone know how to take this off? it has plugs but no heads for a screwdriver. do i just pull it off? i dont want to break it.

you can see it there in the picture. its where the sticker is on on the bottom left, that plastic over. It's very simular to that

ill try, i dont have a camera.

are you a cisco advocate? im ccna

I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about. Looks like the top of a screw, but no slots right? It's basically a plastic.. bolt type thing with serrations, so it can be easily pushed into a hole, but is reluctant to pull out.

All you really need to get it out is 2 large flathead screwdrivers or putty knives. Just pry them up, although you may risk gouging the plastic.

I wouldn't worry about breaking them either-- you can grab replacements at auto stores or the parts department at the dealership; just a few bucks for a pack of 'em.

Yup, CCNA and this fall I'm going take my CCNP.

My goal its try to get CCIE by next summer or maybe later :(

Ok, the big question... why do you wish to remove it? Ask a Honda rep if you're not sure that would be the easiest method. Could we keep the thread on topic by the way? I'm really happy for you both but this isn't Ciscopia.

they sell a tool to remove these looks like this

this is the best way to remove the panel fasteners using screw drivers can scratch the plastic panel. the fastener you are refering to im assuming looks like this

hope this helps, these fasteners are available at many auto parts stores and are not expensive if you were to break one.
