Hi Temp Prep wash How to use

It is DEFINITELY NOT a wowo product. You do *not* want to let this stuff dry on your paint. It is likely to be the strongest cleaner to ever come in contact with your car.

You can use it as a pre-traditional wash pre-spray/soak or to replace your usual traditional wash soap.

I use gloves with Prep Wash.

I use it in a spray bottle in lieu of IPA during polishing, and sometimes add it to the wash bucket, if tying to strip the LSP. The gallon size is a bargain.

Eh..last time I used it I *did* just W-O-W-O. It didn't appear to leave any residue and it didn't cause any problems that I could discern. I didn't even wear gloves either. I'm not saying I'd never rinse it off, but just wiping seemed to work OK and that's all the label says to do :nixweiss Note that I was using it on an already-clean vehicle though.

Hmm... that is true; the label does say it's ok to apply and wipe off. I spoke out of turn on that one. The stuff is so strong/nasty I dunno that I'd feel comfortable doing that, though.

If you are gonna get it all over your hands (like you would during a regular wash), you'll find out (at least *I* did) that you'll want to wear gloves. :)

Maybe I'm just used to the stuff in decon systems...so this doesn't seem all that nasty :nixweiss Or maybe it's just because it doesn't smell quite as awful as the old version, so I'm not taking it as seriously.

Well, yeah, I agree with that :xyxthumbs I never do any regular washing stuff without gloves and this stuff isn't just some QD or anything like that. I can understand if somebody wears gloves with IPA for that matter.

Hey Supe. After spraying it on a car, do you wash it off with a regular wash soap or do you make up a bucket of soap with Prep Wash and wipe it off?

Both ways work great. If a car is really nasty, I use Prep Wash for the whole process, including the bucket. If it's not too bad, I put CW&G or CW&C in the bucket. I haven't ever tried it in the foam cannon though... hmmmmmmmmm. ;)

I would be half tempted to do just the bucket wash to save time. Since I will be washing the car regardless, might as well use the Prep Wash and that may be enough.

You might find that the pre-spray technique works better; PW works best when it has some dwell time to work it's magic.
