Raptor2k let me know about these forums. I have browsed a little bit and decided to join. I've read through most of the FAQ materials and am going to start getting into the forums looking for information.

So, to start off, I'll be intellectually lazy and ask a question about a product prior to searching.

I bought a Vector WaxxPro a week ago, before I learned about the Porter Cable 7424. And I opened the Vector and used it before I learned about the PC 7424. And I probably cannot return it since I used the pads, but it's always worth a try, so I might try.

Anyways, did I just waste $29.99 + tax? Is this thing worth anything? /edit: Would it had been a better idea to use this money pay Scott to get the swirls out of my black RX8?

I think I'm going to get the PC 7424, my only concern is that I don't want to burn the paint. I know you can burn the paint with hi-speed buffers. Can you burn paint with the PC 7424?

Thanks!

1. Welcome!

2. I am sure the Vector would be great for applying waxes, or buffing them off.

3. About the only way to hurt the paint with a PC 7424/7336 is to drop it on the car!

Thanks, Scott!

Glad to know the PC 7424 won't burn the paint. Tells me there is a difference between a hi speed and a DA
