Want to order during this Christmas sale. Generally speaking, will the LC yellow pad finish pretty close to the LC Orange pad?

The LC yellow is pretty stiff. The orange is not as aggressive, but finishes nicer than the yellow. BTW Merry Christmas Mark.

Merry Christmas, Ron. :)

In the cutting pad comparison Todd recently did, the LC yellow foam(most recent) finished BEST in the test. I'm thinking the orange pad might finish a bit better, but not much.

Not disputing the cut factor..just don't like the stiffness of the yellow. I would think that the orange would finish better than the yellow, but what do I know.

No doubt it will finish better, but the question is how much? Considering the yellow pad finished great in the cutting pad comparison, I'm not sure. I'm gonna pull the trigger on some 6.5" CCS pads for my 3401, but I might just go with yellow instead of orange. The old style LC yellow foam felt like a brick.

Ahhh, I might have the old LC yellow. I think the cut of the polish has more to do with the finish than the pad, but what do I know. Purple foamed wool on the 3401 is like sand paper.

I agree with Ron............Yellow pad, especially older ones are extremely stiff, I have only used those one or two times in my life, rather go with Orange or wool pad and spend more time than to go Yellow......

I have a cpl guys including my assistant manager(who still uses this combo daily) that love the 3401 and an orange CCS constant pressure pad. Really cuts like a champ on moderate stuff and finishes really well.

Joe, what compounds polishes do they like to use with this combo?

I read it Mark, but it didn't answer my question. Maybe I missed it.

I know the Duetto doesn't spin as fast as the GG at it's highest setting, but as u can see in that thread, the Duetto still smoked the GG as far as correction.
