...I see such incredible "restorations" in this forum--horrible cars that are so neglected that are brought back to life beyond belief.



Whenever I read/see these threads, I also wonder what the owner/customer says when them come pick it up. So, I'm left to ask:



TELL US ABOUT YOUR ~BEST~ CUSTOMER REACTION AFTER A DETAIL JOB (provide before/after pics if possible)?
 
My best reaction was a it looks great, then a $60 tip! She really must have liked it, just didn't show it that much. I'm shure there are better reaction from others costomers, but I like the huge tip reaction.

Car Owner: "Wow that looks better than when I bought it."

Car Owner's Wife: (to husband) "You better still plan on selling it."



*2 months later, and the car's still around.
 
I detailed my neighbors daughters car a few weeks ago. It was a Nissan Quest that was kid trashed inside and snow broom marred on the outside. Im sorry to say I dont have any pics but she was in awe when she got it back. No tip but plenty of refferral work which in my mind is worth more than any tip she could have ever given me.
 
I corrected the work of a "detailer" who did a hack job with a rotary on a single stage 1978 Mercedes 450 SEL (posted here a while back). The owner was so pleased he gave me $50 extra and told me the car feels "orgasmic" as he gently glided his fingers over the trunk. I have been detailing and washing his cars on a routine basis ever since. When I want a few extra bucks and nobody is calling me for a detail, I call him (if I haven't heard from him) and ask if he wants a quick wash and wax or just a wipe down of his Mercedes and he always says yes. Cool thing is, he always gives me $10 extra dollars on top of what I charge.



With other details, I get the usual "Wows!" and "Looks great!" or the occasional "Holy sh!t" like we all do.
