all these reviews about products and whats good and whats bad is driving me crazy. One minuet somthings ok and the next somthing isnt. I have a few products and i was wondering how i could use them, how often and in what order. I wash my car roughly once a week- every other week and i havent thoroughly washed it since the winter.

1)I have armorall soap for the wash,

2)meguiars cleaner wax liquid (clearcoat safe) who knows if this is a wax or a polish...

3) california gold pure carnauba wax liquid phase three (whatever that means) for clear coats

4) meguires quik detailer mist and wipe

what product should i use when and how often. i would hate to damage my paint by hinking im protecting it

thanks

Now, take a deep breath and relax. The products you have are OK. If you use them with good technique and high quality tools you won’t hurt your car.

If you want to get really great results you’ll want to add some products/processes, like claying and polishing occasionally, and you’ll probably find some other products that work better for you than the some of the ones you have now, but that’s all part of the adventure.

So dive on in, click on the learn! link at the top of the page and read the (excellent) articles, spend some time reading around the forum, then ask some questions. You’ll get the hang of it. (Oh, and don’t be surprised if your bank account springs a leak and you become best friends with your UPS guy.)

Here's a great link for Meguiar's various waxes. Their cleaner wax is a chemical cleaner plus wax. No abrasives, so it won't remove swirls or defects. Safe enough to use monthly. The California Gold is another wax - not sure if it contains any chemical or abrasive cleaners. If you want to remove swirls, you'll need to go to something else, lots of opinions here, if you poke around long enough your head will spin (like mine used to)...
