help with tar removal on new paint

Three weeks ago I had my bottom rocker panel repainted by a body shop. Since then I have got a lot of road tar on it. The body shop thinks I should wait a month more before trying to remove it. I read from another source that the outer paint cures in about 24 hours and that it is worse to leave the tar on! Any suggestions?

I think I'd go with what the bodyshop said.



After all, they are the ones who painted it - they should know.
