Help with paint restore/polish on a black 2001 chrlser 300M

My car is a daily driver and not garaged so having a perfect shine 24/7on it would be close to impossible. The vertical paint surfaces look good after just a wash/wax. But the horizontal (especially the roof) looks bad. I've tried clay/IMG and a wax but the next day it looks like I haven’t wash it for a month. Is there a polish I can use to help restore the black paint?

Thanks for any help. The pictures are taken about one week after washing/waxing.

Looks like the clearcoat is starting to get thin and chalky. Sunburnt, if you will. I see this on lots of Chrysler products. So far, the only solution I've been able to recommend is repainting the problem areas.

I'm all ears if someone has a permanent solution that doesn't require paint!

yep, that looks like it might need a repaint. not being a smart ***, but what about nu finish? i mean if its not a customers car and it can help, even if just till you can repaint it.

It's almost hard to tell about the paint for all of the water spots. Looking at the glass in the first pic, you have a major problem with lime deposits or something similar.

The second picture looks like the clear coat is starting to fail. Can you take this to someone you trust and have them take a look? If it is nothing but hard water deposits (yeh, I've seen tham that bad....) it MIGHT polish out. I have my doubts from looking at the photos but it's worth a try before a re-paint.

Thanks for all the ideas guys.

Ugh I don't want to repaint I was hoping a hand polish would solve my problem

Are you serious about the NU? :)

Their are a lot of water spots on the car, washing/waxing does not remove them. Would trying a light OCT polish like SCRATCH-X be worth trying? Or should I go with something stronger like the SFX-1 and 2.

I hoping to avoid the pros until I know I can't fix this problem myself.
